Dear Veronika

Thank you so much. Please pass our thanks to Jurg and Dani.  Yesterday the president of Kenya announced emergency measures  for Covid -19 Restricting movements from and to Nairobi and other counties, They  are worried that there are  many carriers of Covid -19  and that the highest  numbers are in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale.

Good News!- I made three money transfers today

Transfer 1: I sent money to an old widow who lives in Tran Nzoia County ,she will be able to purchase food and other essentials for herself and her family.

Transfer 2: Willis is an old man he  is over 80 years old , he is old and sickly he has foot problems, his wife is also sick and they require medical attention as well as the basic essentials they live in Kakamega county of Kenya, the money will help them in purchasing medicine and food.

Transfer 3 : Jane  is a staff of CFG it has been a trying time, for  CFG and staff because of funding issues  because of the financial strains of the current economic  situation, she requires to feed herself and her child and the money will be able to help her.

Dear Veronika,
Thank you so much! you are very kind. Most of the time I never spend the money alone, there are always many people who require help , especially to buy food for their families and other essentials required for day to day life. A huge percentage of Kenyans live from hand to mouth because of the nature of life, some do business which supports them daily, and because of the lock down they are not able to move and hence cannot support their livelihoods. I wanted to write the words: “This too shall pass like after every night comes the morning”

Look forward to hearing from you soon
